Morgan Stanley Pilots E*Trade Crypto Trading
Financial markets reflected a clear risk-on tone, with Bitcoin rallying to $82.8K alongside record highs in US equities as ETF demand continued to provide supportive flow momentum. At the same time, lower oil prices eased near-term inflation pressure, although Fed commentary kept the rate outlook cautious, given lingering upside risks to inflation.
CME Sets June Launch for Bitcoin Volatility Futures
BTC reclaimed the $82K level for the first time since January 2026 as easing US–Iran tensions helped lift risk sentiment, alongside fresh all-time highs in US equities, with the S&P 500 up 0.81% and Nasdaq-100 up 1.31%, while Brent crude eased below $107/bbl. US labour data remained resilient, with March JOLTS openings only slightly lower at 6.87M versus 6.92M, while hiring rose by 655K to 5.554M, the strongest level since February 2024.
Across crypto markets, institutional infrastructure continued to deepen, with CME preparing BTC volatility futures, State Street and Galaxy launching a tokenised liquidity fund, and Securitize, Jump and Jupiter bringing regulated tokenised equity trading fully onchain.
Western Union Launches USDPT
BTC has traded between $78K and $81K since the start of the week as renewed US–Iran tensions pushed markets back into a headline-driven regime. The risk-off move was visible across broader macro markets, with Brent crude rising above $114, US equities closing lower, and the 30-year US Treasury yield moving above 5%. Despite this backdrop, spot BTC ETFs recorded a fifth consecutive week of inflows, while regulated crypto market infrastructure continued to expand through CME's AVAX and SUI futures launch.
