1. Most Traded BTC Strikes
The 56,000 and 50,000 BTC strikes stood well above the rest of the market and together generated more than $32.4 million in trading volume.

The leading strikes formed a clear cluster around lower BTC levels. Together with the strong buy-put flow seen during the week, this points to elevated demand for downside exposure and protection around the 50k–57k range.
2. Most Traded ETH Strikes
ETH options activity was smaller in absolute size, with the 3,300 and 3,000 strikes attracting the most volume.
| Rank | ETH Strike | Trading Volume |

The August 28 expiry accounted for 44.55% of total weekly volume. September 25 and October 30 also attracted substantial activity, showing that a meaningful share of positioning extended beyond the immediate market window.
The three leading expiries together represented almost 75% of weekly options volume.
4. Taker Flow Breakdown
Put-side activity was the dominant theme of the week, accounting for 72.18% of total taker volume.

Sell Puts | $24,067,233.03 | 26.87% |
Buy puts were by far the largest individual flow category at 45.32%, making downside protection and bearish positioning the strongest signal in the weekly data.
Sell puts also remained significant at 26.87%, showing continued use of downside premium strategies. Call activity represented just under 28% of total flow, with sell calls ahead of buy calls.
5. Final Thoughts
The week was defined by strong put buying, concentrated BTC activity around 50k–56k, and continued demand for the August 28 expiry.
The flow showed a pronounced defensive tilt, with more than seven out of every ten dollars of taker volume coming from puts. The concentration in later expiries also suggests that traders were extending these positions beyond short-term market moves.
RFQ contributed $23.79 million, representing 26.56% of total options volume and remaining an important execution channel for larger orders and structured positions.
